Skinflint lighting – sourced from from decommissioned military runways, former Eastern Bloc factories, Victorian school buildings, theatre halls and more, each and every luminaire has its own story to tell.
Drawn to well-engineered 20th century designs, the Skinflint team scour our historical past for classic vintage fixtures with a simple, clean aesthetic. Once salvaged, these relics are sensitively restored in their UK waterside workshops to bring them in line with modern safety and environmental standards while retaining their individual character.
Skinflint’s characterful finds have illuminated spaces worldwide; from a bespoke concrete apartment in Japan to clothing stores in Australia, as well as working with internationally renowned architects and interior designers on lighting for eateries, bars, offices and retail spaces across London and the UK. A selection of Skinflint lighting has also become part of The Design Museum’s permanent collection.
With an ever-changing stock covering both substantial runs of lights and unusual one-off focus pieces, Skinflint caters for both domestic projects and larger scale commercial developments – tailoring their service to each client’s specific needs. And with next-day and timed delivery available, wherever you are, they can deliver.
